Time As A Factor In Feng Shui – Period 8 to 9

There are 2 different schools of Kan Yu [or Feng Shui]. Students of the San Yuan method would study the movement of the Sun, stars and planets and how this influences the movement of energy and students of the San He method would study the landforms of water and mountains. In most classical schools of Feng Shui, students would master only one of these ways.

Both Lynette and Estie have completed Advanced Training in both these systems and continue their studies in the Master level under Master Joey Yap.

Time is Changing – Are you Ready?

Time is a critical factor that we use in Feng Shui. Whether it is moving, static or changing, productive or destructive. There are a total of 9 periods, each occupying a Trigram [literally means 3 lines – either broken or solid]. Unless the changing of the period is taken into account, the Feng shui analysis of any home or office will not be accurate or complete.

Why the Change?

Each of these 9 periods lasts 20 years and it takes a total of 180 years to complete a cycle of the 9 periods. Due to the planetary movements between the Sun and the heavenly stars every 20 years, there is a major energy change in the Universe. This is called a period transit. This transition also brings about major changes in the natural flow of energies.

Period 8 started on 5 February 2004, lasting until 4th February 2024 and is depicted by the Gen Trigram, found in the Northeast of your compass directions. Gen represents the mountain, earth element, young children, hermits, the nose, the backbone, vertebrae and the number 8.

Why The Masculine Dominate

During this period, we have seen young men dominate and an increase in outstanding performances or contributions by the younger generation. Health and relationships are currently the main focus.

What Makes The Energy Bad?

Some scholars of Feng Shui would say that the houses that were built during earlier periods have lost their Qi [energy] or strength. What does need to change is how the energies in your house or office is being used from one period to another. This does not make the energy bad - it just means that the energy available to you might not be timely; meaning its time has passed. It might need updating so as to stay timely.

Where You Make Money Has Changed

Where period 7 was focused on wealth and money, the energy of star 7 was used. During period 8, the star 8 is more influential relating to wealth. During period 9, this will then change to where star 9 is located.

As we will be transiting to Period 9 very soon, these energies have already started its earthly influence. This influence of the upcoming change in energies will bring a change for your personal success, relationship and abundance in life.
